If you clicked Forgot Password? on the login page and the reset email hasn't shown up, it's usually one of two things. Start by checking your spam or junk folder, then work through the causes below.
You haven't verified your account yet
If this is a newer account, you'll need to click the link in your original account verification email before Cognota can send you a password reset email. Until that verification is complete, reset emails won't go out.
To fix this:
Search your inbox (and spam/junk folder) for your original "Account Verification" email from Cognota.
Click the verification link.
Return to the login page, try signing in with the original password you created, or click "Forgot Password?" to reset it.
Can't find the verification email either? Reach out to support@cognota.com and we'll get you sorted.
Your organization uses Single Sign-On (SSO)
If your company has SSO enabled, Cognota doesn't manage your password — so no reset email will ever be sent.
Instead, sign in using your organization's SSO link. In most cases, entering your work email on the login page will automatically route you to your company's sign-in page.
If it doesn't, check with your system admin for your organization's specific SSO login link, or email support@cognota.com.
Still stuck?
If you've checked spam/junk, confirmed your account is verified, and confirmed your organization isn't using SSO — email support@cognota.com and we'll help you get back in.
