Flexible Time Entry for Tasks and Improvements [April 15, 2026]

We've released a set of improvements to Task Management to make your day-to-day work faster and more flexible.

Flexible Time Entry for Tasks

You can now enter task time in a variety of formats — Cognota will interpret your input and save it consistently across the platform.

Supported formats include:

  • 2h 30m — hours and minutes

  • 45m — minutes only

  • 2.5 — decimal hours

  • 2h — whole hours

As you type, a live preview will show exactly how your entry will be saved. All time will be displayed in a clean, consistent format throughout the platform (e.g., 2h 30m).

This applies to task estimates, actual time logging, and task-related time displays.

Enable / Disable Tasks from the Side Panel

Tasks can now be enabled or disabled directly from the task side panel view, without needing to navigate away. This makes it easier to manage task availability inline as your project evolves.

Reorder Tasks in Bundles via Drag and Drop

Tasks within a Task Bundle can now be reordered using a drag and drop interaction. This allows you to organize your bundle templates in the order that best fits your team's workflow.

To reorder tasks in a bundle, navigate to Settings > Configurations > Projects > Task Bundles, open a bundle, and drag tasks into your preferred order.

This release will allow teams to:

  • Log and estimate time in the format that feels most natural.

  • Enable or disable tasks without leaving the side panel view.

  • Organize task bundles in the right order from the start.
