What’s New
Share Dashboards Internally
Dashboard owners can share dashboards with other Cognota users within the same organization. Sharing is managed at the individual dashboard level, so each dashboard can have its own set of viewers.
View-Only Access for Recipients
Recipients can:
View dashboards
Interact with date filters and drill-throughs
They cannot edit the dashboard layout, cards, or settings.
Ownership & Control
The original creator remains the Dashboard Owner and can:
Add or remove viewers
Revoke access at any time
Consistent Experience
Recipients see the same layout, filters, and cards as the owner. Data visibility continues to respect existing permissions and roles.
How It Works
For Dashboard Owners
Go to Dashboards from the left-hand navigation
Select a dashboard (from the list or open it directly)
Click the Share button
Invite users from your organization
Confirm permissions (view-only by default)
Save to share access
For Recipients
Navigate to Dashboards
Look for dashboards with the permissions set to 'Viewer'
Open and interact with:
Filters (e.g., date range)
Drill-throughs
PDF exports
